“Wai Kru Muay Thai Ceremony” is held every 16th March of the year where the students pay respect to their teachers. The reasons for this ceremony are to express deep gratitude to their teacher as well as to gain merit.
To start Wai Kru, fighters will touch his head to the canvas to pay respect the Earth, instructor then movements to ward away ghosts then finishing with a salute.
After completing Wai Kru then Ram Muay (Boxing Dance) will be followed. It can be either simple or complex moments to demonstrate a fighters control and style.
